The Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland announced today that the Cattleman’s Bar and Moathouse will open during the Beef Expo as a Steakhouse during the event from the 30th August to the 1st September. Patrons will have the opportunity to try either a grass or grain fed 250g rump steak as part of the field days.

Poker Ranch Sorting is the only arena equestrian sport that challenges riders to think strategically and ride competitively in dynamic timed events.
The Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland will conduct the 2017 Led Steer Competitions. These highly popular competitions attract dozens of entries from local and regional schools and is popular amongst patrons.

The 2017 event will once again feature an informative seminar program run throughout the three days of the event. The program will cover numerous topics relevant to cattle growers within the region. Topics are expected to cover business growth, marketing and export opportunities through to agribusiness, finance and management.

Ken Sykes has been involved with working dogs for most of his life. He has managed extensive sheep, goat, and cattle properties in the New England Region of New South Wales, and has worked on and managed sheep, goat, and cattle properties in the traprock region of Queensland.
A feature of the Queensland Beef Expo will be the Spring Classic All Breed Sale, to be held on Thursday 31st August, kicking off at 10am. The sale is a joint venture by Landmark and Elders, and features the All Breeds sale followed by the Big S Society sale, especially for the Santa Gertrudis cattle.
