Safety Attracting National Interest at Queensland Beef Expo
A National Safety Forum, presentation area and demonstration space is a key initiative at this years’ Queensland Beef Expo at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. Organiser Bob Carroll from Australian Events said the move had created a lot of interest in the lead up to the event.
“There is an alarming increase year on year of accidents, serious injury and death of riders and passengers on farm bikes, quad bikes, side by side off road vehicles and 4x4s. The response by state and federal governments in dealing with the issue over the years has been pathetic so we have decided to create a space at this event and do a series of talks, presentations and hands on demonstrations to give farmers, graziers, industry specialists and leisure users real up to date information. This is vital to help farmers and any other users of off road vehicles to understand that they are in the firing line for serious litigation from staff or others who may use those vehicles and sustain serious injury. It is a must attend program and it’s free. We are also providing on site CPR Refresher courses for only $10-00 which is an amazing offer”.
Mr Carroll also said … “ It is also interesting to note that Peter Brewer from the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries and the Federal Member for Groom, John McVeigh will be at the Queensland Beef Expo to make an announcement of an important industry initiative which provides a positive benefit for the safety of ATV riders nationally. It’s the first time that Australia’s leading brands have joined forces in this way on a major safety initiative. The ATV industry announcement will happen at 1.30pm tomorrow (Wed).”
The Queensland Beef Expo is a showcase of the very best products and technology to help farmers and graziers become more efficient, safer and to also grow better Beef. There is also an all breeds cattle sale, a led steer competition, working dog demonstrations, a High Tea for the ladies and a comprehensive seminar program.
The event opens from Wednesday to Friday this week at the Toowoomba Showgrounds.
